Examining the Solution Report
First, the solution report tells us that a globally optimal solution of $14,500 was found (i.e., no feasible solutions exists with a better objective values). Total infeasibilities were equal to 0, meaning no constraints or variable bounds were violated. Also, we see that LINGO took 2 iterations, or passes, to solve the model. Next, the quantities of each computer to produce, STANDARD and TURBO, are 100 and 30, respectively. What’s interesting to note is we make less of the relatively more "profitable" Turbo computer due to its more intensive use of our limited supply of labor. The Reduced Costs, Slack or Surplus, and Dual Price columns are explained in the following sections.
