LINGO provides a completely integrated package that includes a powerful language for expressing optimization models, a full featured environment for building and editing problems, and a set of fast built-in solvers.

Single user educational licenses are available to qualified educational institutions and students. Educational licenses are restricted to educational instruction and educational research.

Capacity
Base License (i)Base License solves linear and integer models using Primal and Dual Simplex algorithms. Options can be added to a base license to add solver algorithms and generally expand the types of models that can be solved.
+ Barrier (i)Solves linear and Quadratic models. Includes a Barrier/Interior Point solver for solving Quadratic and Quadratically constrained models and provides an alternative method of solving linear models that may be faster than the Simplex solvers included in the Base version.
+ Nonlinear (i)Solves Nonlinear models to a locally optimal solution. Includes a nonlinear solver that employs both successive linear programming (SLP) and generalized reduced gradient (GRG) methods.
+ Nonlinear
& Global (i)Solves Nonlinear models to a globally optimal solution. Includes Multi-start solver and guaranteed global optimization solver.
+ Stochastic (i)Solves optimization models with uncertain elements via multistage stochastic linear, nonlinear and integer stochastic programming.
+ Barrier
& Conic (i)Solves Second Order Cone (SOC) programming models in addition to linear and Quadratic models.
