LINDO Systems offers students full unrestricted capacity educational licenses for two optimization modeling products LINGO and What'sBest! Both products use the same set of solvers for linear, quadratic, nonlinear (local and global), integer, and stochastic programming models, but they differ in terms of the interface and how the model is expressed. LINGO allows you to express the model in the most traditional manner as a list of equations or using a set based modeling language that supports summations and subscripted variables. What'sBest! allows you to express large scale models in a free format within Excel.
